The website is easy to understand, and sign up was super easy. This is much better then dealing with the DMV so opted for the road test add on. Id pay 20 bucks to not deal with DMV every time. Thanks!
While a 5 hour class may seem tedious, Bob actually made the class highly enjoyable while still remaining extremely informative. He is super nice and makes the 5 hour class fly by
Great instructor — clear, engaging, and kept the class focused. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure we were prepared.
funny stories
Lenny was an amazing and patient instructor. He really knows his stuff and makes sure you understand as much as he does. He thoroughly explained everything, he took time to help ease my anxiety, and made sure I understood each lesson by the end of the hour. If you can, book time with him, although he's pretty busy, I would still recommend him. Thank you so much for helping me pass my test!
Great instructor, I love the way how Michael teaches me how to drive and how to make k turns. Tells me what to expect on the road test. Michael I want to say thank you for helping me, I enjoyed driving with you.

I just wanted to say I was so happy and felt lucky to have Bob V as our instructor during the 5 hour class. He kept the class engaged, was so funny and personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Honestly we couldn't have asked for a better teacher.
Lenny broke everything down in the simplest manner and taught me some easy tricks when it came to daunting tasks such as parallel parking and k-turns. He also took me out of my comfort zone and helped me gain more confidence behind the wheel. He's very patient, to the point, helpful and did not distract nor waste my time by any means. His jokes are funny too and he did not make me feel pressured and he gave out a lot of advice which I will use in the future! He made it very engaging and gave us detailed answers that we might forget during the driving test.

Great school
I had taken ten classes with another driving school prior moving to Staten Island, and failed my road test three times. I had pretty much given up hope when I was signing up for classes with Island Driving School.
But the instructors were different. Though I only had three classes with Island Driving School, the instructors made me more comfortable behind the wheel than before and I gained more confidence driving. This was exactly what I needed to pass the test. The 5-hour class was also actually pretty fun, with lots of helpful anecdotes.
I highly recommend this school to anyone uncomfortable with driving.
Happy New Year, cheers to a brand new 2022. Wishing you all luck, success and happiness. Just wanted to prepare for my road test with amazing lessons with the best instructors on STATEN ISLAND. I’m improving all the time and are ready for the road test. Truly, I booked a road test special with 30 minute prep and car for the road test. Praying that someone professional will assist me and never misinform me that I can’t book the 30 minute prep nor day of the car. It’s all in my package and the DMV hasn’t stopped working. Thank you for your time and cooperation. Gladly, I look forward to more lessons and passing my driving road test for the first time. Thank you
Kind regards,
Ms. Helen Kournidakis

This school is simply the best driving school our Island has to offer! With various instructors to choose from, you are able to find a teacher that works with you to excel in driving. The only thing I would change is how booked up the scheduling system is. It makes continuity between driving lessons hard to keep.
Island Driving School helped me tremendously. I passed my road test for the first time! All of the instructors were great. Thank you, Island Driving!
Bob is the best instructor! He taught me everything I needed to know for the road test. Very understanding and very funny! Thank you bob!

THANKS SOOOO MUCH LENNY!!! ????????????
Anyone that knows me knows one of my biggest fears is driving ! at 39 years old for both wonderful instructors Anthony V and Lenny B to teach me how to not only drive , but parallel park , K turn and shift lanes is beyond a miracle! I have a long way to get somewhat good and more confident. However these two gentlemen really had the patience and skills to teach an unteachable person (aka me)
highly recommend !!!

Back home we drove on the other side of the road. So, it was a task changing to US driving style. Out of many places that offer to teach, the Island Driving School was the best choice. Island Driving School provides you with the necessary training reliably. I am so happy with my decision to go with Island Driving School. Special thanks to Bob who was great with the 5hr class, and Anthony who taught key factors I needed to reach the goal. Trust me, I only had two one-hour lessons with Anthony! He is so good at teaching the K turn and the parallel parking ??
Jerry was really helpful and He is a very good teacher.
If you have a road test you should schedule it with Lenny he’s super helpful at pointing out flaws and is really good at explaining basically everything
